Fear is like a lover—
waking you from bed
asking you to run
to open up the lungs
and hold a fragile head

Fear is like a mother—
giving you each breath
letting you return your life
to those in harder strife
and save a brain from death 

Fear is like a brother—
fighting by your side
mocking you to punch
his chest because his hunch
is that you want to hide
