Art

Art, like my hair, has always been a part of my life but never in the same waygrown out unkemptly at times, trimmed professionally, and everything in between. I pursued art strongly during my high school years and found myself entering into many contests and scholarship opportunities. During college I found less time to devote to painting or drawing and consequently moved to more efficient mediums like photography and graphic design. After my Family Medicine residency I rediscovered my heritage through Filipino Baybayin calligraphy! Although my career is now primarily devoted to medicine and education, I know art will always be with me between my ears, reminding me to look in the mirror and remember it is part of who I am.
