Art, like my hair, has always been a part of my life but never in the same way— grown out unkemptly at times, trimmed professionally, and everything in between. I pursued art strongly during my high school years and found myself entering into many contests and scholarship opportunities. During college I found less time to devote to painting or drawing and consequently moved to more efficient mediums like photography and graphic design. I even had several flings with music and recording! Although my career is now primarily devoted to global medicine, I know art will always be with me, between my ears, reminding me to look in the mirror and remember it is part of who I am.
